The Milton Free Public Library (thanks to the generosity of the Friends of the Library) is pleased to be able to offer patrons a day use pass for admission to select New Hampshire State Parks. The pass entitles the bearer to admission for 2 adults and 4 dependents.
You must have a MFPL library card in good standing to book the pass. If you don’t have a current library card and are a Milton resident we will be happy to issue you a card.
To book a pass please visit the library and staff will print a pass for the day that you intend to use it (if that date has not already been booked by another patron). Please check https://www.nhstateparks.org/visit/state-parks beforehand to be sure the park you want to visit is open on the day you want to use the pass, because the pass is only valid for the date printed on it. You can access a NH State Parks map here.
Once you have obtained the library pass you should reserve a parking space as soon as possible. Visitors who do not make a parking reservation may be turned away. There is a $1 fee to book a parking space. When you come in to pick up your pass the library staff will give you instructions on how to make parking reservations. Or you can complete the parking reservation here. We will post a more user-friendly guide soon, but it the meantime, feel free to call us for assistance or come into the library and we will help you through the process.
While the library pass is not valid at Cannon Mountain Aerial Tramway, the Flume Gorge, Hampton Beach State Park – South Beach, or Wallis Sands State Park, there are many amazing parks to choose from! The pass cannot be used for camping and is not valid at the metered parking.
